Study: Couples' Marijuana Use Is Inversely Related to Their Intimate Partner Violence Over the First 9 Years of Marriage.

A just-published study reveals that marijuana use is strongly associated with a reduction in violence between newly-wed couples. Yes, marijuana use makes for a happier marriage. In an earlier study the data indicated that marijuana use, unlike alcohol, does not promote dating violence and now we see evidence that marijuana use seems to decrease the incidences of intimate partner violence. We all need to work harder to encourage people to move away from alcohol and toward marijuana for their health and the improved health of society.
